It’s been a while that I’ve posted anything here! I haven’t fallen off the health train, but I want to make sure I’m super accountable.
At Burn today, we focused on inclines. My thought: “I can totally do this! I walk everywhere!” Except after five minutes I was reminded of rushing to class uphill in August. Calves, you got a workout today!
That “no more stressing” and “lunch away from the desk” idea lasted about ten minutes, until The Impossible Task came up.
Why is June trying to kill me?
A little bit of a struggle to get through the rest of the week, but I’m determined to make today a good day. Had a nice workout this morning, and can actually have lunch away from the desk today.
No more stressing (at least for this week).
What a fucking bad day. Weighed too much and got the official fellowship rejection. Trying to survive until 5:30.

The 2-4pm tired lull makes me want to snack. Don’t need it. Need a nap.
Sometimes I think Lookbook is just an excuse for people to show off their absurdly skinny legs. Where are your thighs, people?
Today I took class at the gym that combines walking/running and intervals with some weight lifting and toning. It went really well! It’s a nice way to end the week, as opposed to just another round on the elliptical.
About halfway through I got a little heady from these jumping squats; but I took a moment and was able to rally, and finished out the class with no problems. Plus, the...
Did really well for the last week or so. Not so much yesterday. (Chocolate cake and no gym?)
But I’m trying not to beat myself up about it. I’m going to be healthier today, and honestly, life is not just about calorie counting. Sometimes you want to go out to dinner/cook something tasty. That doesn’t mean that every day is about chocolate cake, but it does mean that life...

The next few days are going to be the big test, especially since I’m PMSing and want to live in a house of chocolate. But I’m going to try really, really hard to be good, and then I’ll have fun at the wedding this weekend.
I did really well yesterday and was at 126 this morning. (Phew!)
A coworker brought in special donuts, and it would have been rude to refuse. But I had a small lunch and eschewed the cookies/muffins/bagels in the break room for some fruit. Let’s keep the good behavior going for dinner out with friends!
So last night I didn’t do so well. And with about a week away from my friend’s wedding, I want to do better. I’m sick of feeling bad about what I eat but then continuing to have it anyway. So no thoughts like “You’re so fat and gross” and then eating whatever when I get home from work.
No judgements, no excuses! Healthy living for the next week, even when I...

I wish I could bake delicious things without any calories. I love baking, but I don’t love having the pastry temptation around the house—even for an evening!
This morning I got to the gym and realized that I’d left my headphones at phone. (Smart move!) I kept thinking “I can’t work out without music, I’ll need to leave, blah blah blah.” But I powered through 50 minutes of running/walking. (I’m not that great a runner, but at least I made it through 25 solid minutes of running!)
Not that I should congratulate myself...
Wow, I fell of the earth on this. But I have been working on the healthy! Like I signed up for a couple of Burn/Gravity classes, which means I’ll be pushing myself more on Fridays. (Plus, it’s intense but fun and varied, which takes my mind off of the workday ahead.)
I’ve been between 126 and 127 for the last week or so. On track for a solid 125 by May!

Okay, so the gym shoes are still damp. Gym Saturday instead.
Unless my gym shoes are still wet (finally tried to clean them; wish they could just go in the washer/dryer), I am going to the gym. It will make me feel better, and Walt offered to drive.

Not a great weekend, diet-wise. (Lots of eating out, drinking.) But I was at 127 this morning, so that’s a relief. And there’s no reason for this not be to a healthy week.
Outfit inspiration: Urban Outfitter’s Sparkle & Fade Knit Stripe Top Dress.
Someone must have had a breakfast meeting, because now the leftovers are in the break room. Stop taunting me, carbs!
Going out to dinner with friends today, but I will still make good choices. No excuses!
tiny dancer: Day 4 from Glamour →
“When you begin to run, your body thinks something must be chasing you—that’s the way we’ve evolved—and that you need as much energy as possible to outpace it,” explains Bikini Blast trainer David Barton. “That’s the kind of fat-burning place you want to be in. However, your body soon realizes…
That’s really good to know. Usually I start off running way too fast, then get...
